LG 'Ultimate Display' OLED TV: bigger and better
The announcement of LG's 55-inch OLED screen - currently dubbed the LG 'Ultimate Display' OLED TV - caused quite a stir. There are already plenty of OLED screens in mobile phones and there's even been the odd small-screen OLED TV, but making those panels bigger has proven tricky for TV manufacturers. The prospect of a 55-inch OLED screen is a mouthwatering one for anyone with the slightest interest in home cinema or big-screen gaming. Imagine a big-screen version of the display on a Samsung Galaxy SII, for instance, and you'll understand why.
